Churches offer apostolic, Bible, Christ, Christian, covenant, directory, emergent, episcopal, evangelical, faith Baptist, fellowship, gateway, harvest, independent, journey, Lutheran, Mennonite and mission doctrine and services. Do some research on the various churches beforehand, going online to find out about some of the more obscure ones, such as Hope, Faith, Grace and Crossroads. Do some research on your own church, whether Bible teaching Christian, apostolic, Baptist, Catholic, Methodist, Mormon, Latter Day Saints or Presbyterian. After you've narrowed down your choices to local churches in your community, contact a few different ones to get more information, such as location, history, religion, membership, programs, services, bulletin information, celebrations, church plantings, and sermon schedules. Check out a service one Sunday, or even early on weekday mornings. Listen to the songs and view the supplies such as bulletins to get more information on the community and parish. Whether you are reformed, or have just moved to a new town and need a church to belong to, you aren't alone. If it's one thing churches are good at, it's welcoming new parishioners and worshippers. Meet with the priest, preacher or leader at a mutually convenient time to get a feel for the church and its belief systems and signs, whether it's a Baptist church, Catholic church or Pentecostal church. Find out about the history of the church, what larger organization it's a part of, how may members it boasts, children's programs, adult programs, school affiliations, and worship and assembly schedules. Before choosing the right church for you, keep in mind the church's service schedule, location, religion, history and belief systems.
